Charlotte, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers (6-5) dropped a 4-0 decision to UCF (8-9) at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
UCF won two doubles matches to claim the doubles point. At number two doubles, Charlotte’s Sam Rice and Sam Brazil lost to UCF’s Reece Acree and Tyler Pate, 6-2. At number one doubles, Charlotte’s Vikram Hundal and Jordi Massalle Ferrer lost to UCF’s Chris Barrus and Inaki Espindola, 6-4. At number three doubles, Charlotte’s Josh Aubrey and Carl Solik were leading UCF’s Mariano Porter and Jack Thiessen, 5-4, when the match was stopped since UCF had already clinched the doubles point.
