Charlotte, NC – The 22nd-ranked Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team behind an offensive explosion and stellar defensive effort defeated Belmont, 5-0, in an exhibition game at Transamerica Field.
"It was pleasing to score five goals," Charlotte 49ers coach Kevin Langan said. "Some of our attacking play looked fairly good and I was very happy with our organization, especially our back four and midfield. We have a lot of new faces coming in and a lot came in during the game. I think we can get a little bit tighter as a team and a bit more on the same page with the front two and midfield.
