BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Charlotte 49ers took to the banked track and the field events for the second day at the Virginia Tech Invitational, held at the Rector Field House on Saturday.
"Yesterday and today went much like most year's first post-winter break meets, with some clearly affected from down time over the break with either fitness, technique or both, looking rusty and some that were able to continue to move forward right away," head coach Bob Olesen said. "In many cases though, I think we saw enough to know that with a return to normal training routines, now we will see progress soon, which is why I like returning to Virginia Tech again next week, so that we can compare performances for those traveling both weekends to the same facility.
