The Charlotte 49ers (10-8, 2-0 C-USA) opened the Conference USA season on a strong note with back-to-back comeback road victories over the Old Dominion Monarchs (12-4, 0-2 C-USA) at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex. The Niners grabbed an 11-8 victory in game one to finish the suspended game and scored a thrilling 8-6 extra-inning victory in game two.
Game One
In the continuation of Friday night's contest, Charlotte started play in the eighth inning down 8-7 with runners on first and second and nobody out. Charlotte stormed back with a four-run eighth to take an 11-8 advantage.
