Greenville, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers (7-5) blanked East Carolina (8-9), 4-0, on the road.
“We played indoors today in a tough environment against a talented ECU team,” Charlotte coach Jesse Tarr said. “All three of our doubles teams played solid and technically sound doubles today.”
Charlotte won two of the three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. At number one doubles, Charlotte’s Vikram Hundal and Jordi Massalle Ferrer won their 15th doubles match of the season with a 6-3 win over East Carolina’s Tendai Tapfuma and James Ling. At number two doubles, Charlotte’s Sam Brazil and Sam Rice clinched the doubles point for the 49ers with a 6-4 win over East Carolina’s Fredric Lehfeldt and Vlad Anghel.
