The Charlotte 49ers men’s and women’s track and field teams had a strong showing at the Conference USA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala., last weekend. The men’s team won gold with a score of 177 points, beating the second-place team by 63 points. The women’s team claimed silver after totaling 104 points in a close finish with first-place Southern Miss, who collected 109 points.
