MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – One at a time, but don’t lose sight of the forest for the trees.
The Central Michigan wrestling team hits the McGuirk Arena mat this weekend for two duals: Saturday against non-league Oregon State, Sunday against Mid-American Conference foe Ohio. Both meets begin at 2 p.m.
“Dual meets are important to us, we want to win dual meets, but the more important thing to us is the way we’re competing and that we’re wrestling aggressively in each individual match,” CMU coach Borrelli said.
“Although we’d like to win a regular-season dual-meet championships in the MAC, it’s more about setting ourselves up for the MAC Tournament and the NCAA Tournament and how we’re wrestling is more important than the score of the dual meet.
