MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – By design, the Central Michigan wrestling team has taken a minute between competitions.
The Chippewas finished a very respectable sixth early in December at the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas. Next is another tournament, the 54th annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, which features a rugged field that will present plenty of challenges to the 14th-ranked Chippewas.
“I think it’s a little better than Cliff Keen field,” longtime CMU coach Tom Borrelli said. “It might be the best Midlands (field) they’ve had in a few years.
