With the end of the team’s road trip drawing near, No. 23 Central Michigan wrestling traveled to West Lafayette, Indiana to face both No. 19 Purdue and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, knocking off both teams in convincing fashion.
CMU topped SIUE 42-3 with the Chippewas winning nine of 10 individual matches, and beat the No. 19 Boilermakers 24-10, winning seven of 10 matches.
CMU improved its record to 4-3 overall (1-0 in Mid-American Conference play). SIUE falls to 1-4, while Purdue now sits at 4-1.

As mentioned earlier, CMU won nine of 10 individual matches, scoring two pins, two technical falls, two major decisions, and one win via forfeit.
