AMES, Iowa — The Central Michigan wrestling headed home Sunday night from its road trip to Iowa with mixed results.
After defeating Northern Iowa, 22-11, in a Mid-American Conference dual on Friday, The 21st-ranked Chippewas fell to No.17 Iowa State, 25-12, in a non-conference dual on Sunday afternoon.
“We just didn’t wrestle the way we wanted to (on Sunday),” CMU coach Tom Borrelli said. “We had a tough match on Friday and we came out really flat today which sometimes happens.”
The Chippewas slip to 6-4 with the loss.
