Women's soccer struggles in 6-1 loss to Michigan

Michigan’s five first half goals proved to be to much as Central Michigan women’s soccer fell to the Wolverines 6-1 Friday in Ann Arbor.

CMU falls to 1-5 on the season following their 10 straight loss away from Mount Pleasant dating back to last season. Michigan improves to 4-3.

The Wolverines outshot the Chippewas 20-2 overall, 10-1 on net.

Michigan first struck at the five minute mark from Reilly Martin’s second goal of the season. The Wolverines added two goals at the 13 minute mark from Sarah Stratigakis and Nicki Hernandez. Reilly would add her second goal of the game at the 16 minute mark and Sammi Atterbury struck at the 25 minute mark to give the Wolverines a 5-0 lead at the half.
