The Central Michigan women's basketball team opened the Mid-American Conference season with a 94-71 victory over the Akron Zips before 2,188 at McGuirk Arena on Saturday.
Senior forward Reyna Frost, however, had the day everyone remembered.
Frost was the driving force and leader of the offensive charge and eclipsed a milestone in the process.
Frost collected 10 rebounds for another double-double, the 11th of the season, and now Frost sits atop the MAC career rebounds total with 1,231. The previous record was held by Caroline Mast of Ohio (1983-1986).
"It's really special," Frost said. "Coming from Reese (Michigan) I never thought I would get a conference rebounding record.
