Women's basketball bounces Akron, stays undefeated in conference play

Freshman guard Micaela Kelly, right, defends against the opponent at the women's basketball game against Kent State on Jan. 13 at McGuirk Arena.

Lead by senior Tinara Moore's 29 point, 11 rebound double-double, Central Michigan women's basketball won its second of a two-game road stretch against Akron, 95-86.

Now a perfect 7-0 in the Mid-American Conference and 15-3 overall, the Chippewas are off to their best start in conference play since 2013-14. CMU remains the lone undefeated team in the MAC.

Three other CMU starters hit double digits in scoring in addition to the game high performance of Moore.
