MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Mike Gawlik era of Central Michigan volleyball will officially begin when the Chippewas open the 2016 season at the Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis Tournament on Aug. 26-27.
The IUPUI Tournament is the first of four – all on the road -- to kick off Gawlik’s inaugural season in charge of the program. The non-league portion of the schedule includes dates with heavyweights Florida and Michigan State, along with solid Midwest programs such as Southern Illinois, IUPUI and Valparaiso.
The Chippewas, who finished 11-18 last season, play at Ball State and Toledo on Sept.
