YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Central Michigan Director of Track and Field/Cross Country Mark Guthrie called Saturday’s triangular meet at Eastern Michigan a measuring stick.
The Chippewas went up against an Eagles team that was predicted to finish first (women) and second (men) in the Mid-American Conference.
The Chippewas won seven events at EMU’s Bowen Fieldhouse, and the CMU men finished with 109 points, the women with 102. The EMU men finished with 138 points, the women with 140.
Oakland was third – the Grizzly women finished with 56 points, the men with 47 – on both sides.
