MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Jordan Charrette may not have finished with the highest score on the balance beam.
In fact, the Central Michigan senior placed fourth, but it was her calming influence at the sixth spot that helped lift the Chippewas in the third rotation.
Charrette scored a 9.750, which replaced a 9.500, and triggered a wave of excitement from the home crowd and her Chippewa teammates on Friday going into the fourth rotation, the floor exercise.
Charrette’s performance helped spur Central Michigan to a non-conference victory over Brigham Young at McGuirk Arena.
