PORTAGE, Mich. – Holly Hines shot 78-77 – 155 Monday to lead the Central Michigan golf team in the first round of the KZoo Classic at The Moors Golf Club.
The Chippewas posted a 324 team score in Monday’s opening round and came back with a 320 in the afternoon 18 and stand in seventh place in the 10-team event with a 644 total.
The third and final round in the 54-hole tournament, hosted by Western Michigan, is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
Hines is tied for 17th in the 54-player field.
