MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Not that the Central Michigan women’s basketball team necessarily needs a fresh start.
Just a good one.
The Chippewas open the Mid-American Conference portion of their schedule Saturday at 1 p.m. against Kent State (3-7) at McGuirk Arena.
CMU is 6-5 and it’s been an up-and-down six weeks for a team that returned just one starter, Da’Jourie Turner, and has relied heavily upon a cast of youngsters and veterans who saw little playing time a year ago because of injury or NCAA transfer rules.
