MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – A player with strong ties to Central Michigan and the Mount Pleasant area has joined the CMU women’s basketball team.
Chippewa coach Sue Guevara announced Monday that former Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart Academy standout Averi Gamble has joined her team.
Gamble, the daughter of CMU men’s basketball assistant and former NBA player Kevin Gamble, is a 6-foot-3 center who in 2016 led the Irish to the Class D state championship game while earning the Class D Player of the Year Award from the Associated Press.
