TOLEDO, Ohio — As has been the case so many times this season, the Central Michigan women’s basketball team found itself with a chance to win the game on the final possession.
This time, it wasn’t in the cards.
Trailing Toledo 74-72 with 1.7 seconds left, Presley Hudson fired a 3-pointer that would have sent the Chippewas to victory and given them the Mid-American Conference West Division title.
Instead, the ball became wedged between the rim and backboard. In that case, it’s a deadball and went to the Rockets on the alternating possession.
