PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Four Chippewas finished in double figures as Central Michigan grinded past Rider in a 76-58 women’s basketball victory in CMU’s first game of the Hawk Classic on Monday.
The Chippewas (6-4) will play in the championship game against host Saint Joseph’s Tuesday at 3 p.m. St. Joseph’s rolled past Maryland-Baltimore County, 104-45, in Monday’s other tournament semifinal. Rider is 3-7.
Senior Da’Jourie Turner led the Chippewas with a season-high 20 points, shooting 7-of-12 from the floor and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.
Presley Hudson added 16 points while dishing out six assists.
