WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Central Michigan women’s basketball team saw its five-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday as it fell in a nonconference game at Purdue, 62-51, at the Boilermakers’ Mackey Arena.
The Chippewas fall to 6-3 with the loss. Purdue moves to 6-4.
After trailing by 16 points with three minutes left the third quarter, CMU battled back in the fourth to pull within one, 48-47, with 6 minutes, 30 seconds remaining.
Central Michigan failed to sustain their momentum scoring just two points in final four minutes allowing Purdue to pull away.
