After starting the season with a win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Aug. 24, 25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 25-21, the Central Michigan volleyball team lost back-to-back games on Aug. 25.
They dropped the first set to Bryant 20-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-22, 15-11 and then were topped by UIC 25-23, 25-21, 25-20 totaling a 1-2 record in the UIC Invitational.
“I feel like when you go into the first weekend there are still some unknowns,” said head coach Mike Gawlik. “I think everyone going into the first weekend has question marks about who they really are. Even though we went 1-2 I feel like there was a lot of positives.
