ST. LOUIS – No All-America status, no podium.
But plenty of experience, plenty to be proud of, and, perhaps most importantly, plenty of motivation for Central Michigan gymnastics.
The Chippewas’ Denelle Pedrick placed 29th on vault and Katy Clements was 33rd on balance beam on Friday at the NCAA Championships at Chaifetz Arena on the campus of Saint Louis University.
Pedrick, a freshman from Wilcox, Saskatchewan, scored 9.8375 on vault. Clements, a junior from Gainesville, Ga., posted a 9.8625 on beam. Eighty-seven gymnasts participated on beam, 86 on vault.
“I felt very good about both performances,” CMU coach Jerry Reighard said.
