MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Forty-one members of the Central Michigan track and field team will be in action at the Saginaw Valley State Doug Hansen Open on Friday, as the indoor season starts to pick up steam.
CMU turned in a solid team performance on its home track last week at the Jack Skoog Open, and the Chippewa coaching staff was left with plenty of reason for optimism considering how well the athletes responded to the long holiday layoff.
“It was just nice to get competing again after the break, and we had some really solid performances out of some people,” said CMU Director of Track and Field/Cross Country Jenny Swieton.
