COLUMBUS, Ohio – The incredible March continues.
On Monday night from St. John Arena the 11th-seeded Central Michigan University women’s basketball team won its second-straight NCAA Tournament game and second NCAA Tournament game in program history as it dominated third-seeded host Ohio State University 91-78.
With the win the Chippewas (30-4) advance to the ‘Sweet 16’ for the first time ever. They will play second-seeded Oregon (32-4) in Spokane (WA) on Saturday. The game time will be announced later this week.
Ohio State, which was ranked 10th in the last AP poll, closes the season out at 28-7.
