Streak Snapper: Hankins Pitches Chippewas To Nightcap Win

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Griffin Lockewood-Powell had three hits and Tyler Hankins pitched eight strong innings on Saturday as the Central Michigan baseball team snapped a 15-game winless streak with a 7-3 win over Northwestern in the second game of a nonconference baseball game at Theunissen Stadium.

The Chippewas (3-15-1) dropped game one of the twinbill, 5-2. They entertain Lawrence Tech in a nonconference game on Monday (3:05 p.m.).

GAME 1
Northwestern built a 3-0 lead after two innings in taking the opener.

CMU, which out-hit the Wildcats, 8-5, got both of its runs in the ninth on RBI singles by Daniel Robinson and Zavier Warren.
