Marcus Keene took a glance at the box score as he left the Central Michigan media room following Tuesday’s 91-81 victory over William & Mary.
Keene, the nation’s leading scorer at 30.4 points per game, saw one statistic that caught his eye.
“Wow, Cecil had 13 rebounds,” Keene said.
Cecil Williams, a 6-foot-6 and 210-pound junior who transferred from Moberly Area Community College, has in a way been “the rug that ties the room together” to quote a famous line from the film “The Big Lebowski”.

Williams’ ability to impact the game in so many different ways is easily evident as the 6-2 Chippewas prepare to host Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-6) Saturday at 4:30 p.
