MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - The Central Michigan softball team collected 22 hits including a pair of home runs Saturday in sweeping a Mid-American Conference doubleheader from Toledo at Margo Jonker Stadium.
Allison Curtis had three hits and Rachel Vieira hit a two-run homer to lead the Chippewas to a 12-3 victory in the opener. Chelsea DeLamielleure had three hits including a homer to pace CMU to a 9-1 win in the nightcap.
The Chippewas completed the three-game series sweep of the Rockets, improving to 18-21-1 overall and 5-8-1 MAC.
