Soccer takes on Eastern Michigan before beginning MAC Tournament

Sophomore foward Alexis Pelafas, right, hits heads with a player while attempting to head the ball during the game against Ohio on Oct. 16 at the Soccer / Lacrosse Complex.

The last time the Central Michigan soccer team won the Mid-American Conference Tournament was in 2010. The journey to win another begins Sunday.

Before the Chippewas begin their quest for a MAC title on Sunday, CMU (13-2-3, 5-2-3 MAC) will play its final game of the regular season on the road against Eastern Michigan at 3 p.m. Thursday.

Despite being out of contention for the MAC West Division title, a CMU win against the Eagles will clinch the third seed in the MAC Tournament.
