Don’t ask John Simons how many more 3-pointers he needs to break the all-time record for career makes at Central Michigan.
“Robbie knows more than I do,” Simons quipped.
The 6-foot-8 pride of Cadillac High School is only five 3-pointers away from breaking Robbie Harman’s career record of 233 set during his Chippewas career (2007-10). Simons will look to close in on Harman’s career record for treys Tuesday night as CMU hosts Mid-American Conference East Division frontrunner Kent State at 7 p.m.
Simons has received some gentle heckling along the way from Harman, who now serves as a graduate assistant for Central Michigan.
