DETROIT — From the eighth inning until the top of the 14th, no runs were scored for Central Michigan or Michigan State. That streak came to an end as senior relief pitcher Jimmy McNamara gave up four runs in the 14th after replacing junior reliever Jordan Grosjean.

After a two-RBI single, the Spartans had a sacrifice fly and an RBI single. Just like that, CMU gave up more runs in the 14th inning than the previous 13 innings.
