ANN ARBOR — Central Michigan’s lacrosse team lost 14-1 to Michigan Sunday in its first game in program history.

What happened

Michigan's Natalie Carti scored the first goal of the game less than two minutes into the game. Due to an illegal stick being used on Michigan’s side, a goal was was negated with 17 minutes left. Michigan still led the game 2-0.

CMU trailed Michigan 6-0 at halftime. Jess Angerman and Kim Coughlan led their team, scoring two goals each in the first half.
