On an unusually warm Saturday afternoon at Kelly/Shorts Stadium, Miami University quarterback Gus Ragland picked apart the CMU defense en route to a 31-14 victory.
“I’m obviously very disappointed, bitterly disappointed in the loss,” said CMU head football coach Jon Bonamego, “We just dug ourselves too big of a hole in the first half.”
The guests would open up the game on offense. It wouldn’t take long for Ragland to make an impact as he led the Redhawks (2-2, 1-0 MAC) on a nine-play, 75-yard drive that he capped with a six yard touchdown scamper to open up the scoring.
