Central Michigan has experience with facing explosive offenses in 2016.
Three opponents of the Chippewas – Western Michigan, Oklahoma State and Toledo – have all ranked in the top 20 nationally in points per game.
The fourth such opponent, Tulsa, provides another stiff challenge for CMU in the Miami Beach Bowl on Dec. 19 as the Golden Hurricane enters the contest 11th nationally in scoring offense (41.4).
In the three previous games against elite offenses, Central Michigan went 1-2 with its stunning win at Oklahoma State offsetting defeats versus WMU and at Toledo.
