TOLEDO, Ohio — Central Michigan had no answers for Cody Thompson Saturday afternoon.
The dynamic Toledo sophomore wide receiver scored a career-high four touchdowns as he provided almost all the fireworks for the hosts during a 31-17 victory over the Chippewas.
Thompson caught seven passes for 122 yards and the four scores as the Rockets (6-1, 3-0 Mid-American Conference) led for the duration of the contest at the Glass Bowl. Toledo junior quarterback Logan Woodside, who entered with an efficiency rating of 204.3, completed 23-of-32 passes for 264 yards and four touchdowns.
Central Michigan drops to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the MAC.
