MUNCIE – Central Michigan has become road warriors in the nick of time.
The Chippewas moved into a MAC West first-place tie with Ball State Tuesday night via a 65-57 victory over the Cardinals in Muncie.
It is the second consecutive road victory for CMU as it also topped Toledo 76-47 Saturday night to provide the opportunity to tie Ball State atop the MAC West leaderboard.
Central Michigan (16-13, 10-7 Mid-American Conference) will attempt to clinch at least a share of the MAC West title Friday night at McGuirk Arena as it hosts rival Western Michigan.
