MAC Division leaders stay put following Week 7 in football

Buffalo became the first Mid-American Conference team to earn bowl eligibility with a 24-6 home win over Akron Saturday on Homecoming.

Buffalo, now 6-1, only allowed Akron 235 total yards of offense. It was the first time since 2013 the Bulls held an opponent without a touchdown. They are alone in first place of the MAC East Division.

Four of the six games MAC games were decided by a touchdown or less.

Following these results UB, NIU and WMU are the only teams left in the MAC undefeated in league play.
