MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan junior guard Marcus Keene was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week.
Keene further cemented his status as one of the nation’s most prolific scorers, averaging 33.5 points, 4.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in leading the Chippewas to victories over William & Mary and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He made 56.4 percent of his field goal attempts and 52 percent of his 3-point tries in the two games at McGuirk Arena.
Keene tied his career-high with 36 points in leading the Chippeaws past William & Mary, 91-81.
