MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – We’re far from a finished product.
That’s the familiar refrain from Central Michigan men’s basketball coach Keno Davis.
There is a long way to go in the season, and while the Chippewas are certainly evolving, one need look to Wednesday’s 92-81 Mid-American Conference victory over Akron for evidence of just how good CMU can be.
“I don’t think there’s any doubt that this was our best game, best effort, best execution (of the season),” Davis said after the Chippewas committed just three turnovers and made 25 of their 28 free throw attempts in knocking off the Zips.
