By the time Louisville visits McGuirk Arena on Dec. 20 near the end of the nonconference schedule for the Central Michigan women’s basketball team, the Chippewas should be ready to take on a team that reached the Final Four last season.
The Chippewas play host to South Dakota State on Nov. 12, and the Jackrabbits went 26-7 last season and reached the NCAA Tournament. Five days later, Western Kentucky visits, and the Hilltoppers were 24-9 in 2017-18 and reached the NCAA Tournament.
“Everything gets us ready for the Mid-American Conference, which is going to be even tougher this year,” CMU coach Sue Guevara said.
