MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Central Michigan's Jocelyne Lemay was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse.
Lemay, a junior from Peterborough, Ont., helped lead the Chippewas to a 1-1 record last week. In a 19-9 victory over Butler in CMU's home opener, Lemay recorded four draw controls, two ground balls and one caused turnover to go along with four goals.
In a 14-6 loss at Cincinnati, Lemay had three ground balls and two draw controls. One of the Chippewas' key parts of its transition game and primary ball handlers, Lemay had just two turnovers last week in extensive playing time.
