Central Michigan lacrosse scored the last five goals to win their first game of the 2018 season against American University in Washington D.C.
The Chippewas (1-1) defeated the Eagles (2-2) by a score of 12-10.
Shannon Doyle led CMU with four goals, while Jocelyne Lemay scored three. Anna Schoonover and Jessica Schuchardt each had two goals.
“Overall, it was an impressive team win where we saw a lot of people step up,” said head coach Sara Tisdale. “It is pretty exciting.”
CMU fell behind 2-1 early, when Doyle scored two goals nearly within a minute of each other to give the Chippewas a 3-2 lead with just over 20 minutes left in the half.
