Kevin Gamble has departed from the Central Michigan men’s basketball program.
The former assistant coach of the Chippewas is headed to the NBA level, where he will be an advance scout for the Toronto Raptors. Gamble was on head coach Keno Davis’ staff since Davis joined the program in 2012-13.
Gamble played 10 seasons in the NBA with the Portland Trailblazers, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat and Sacramento Kings.
Gamble coached with Davis at Providence from 2010-12 before coming with him to CMU. Gamble said he has always had a good relationship with Davis and his father.
