Kansas City Chiefs pick up Eric Frisher's fifth year option

The Kansas City Chiefs picked up the fifth year option of former Central Michigan offensive tackle and first overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft Eric Fisher. Monday was the last day for teams to pick up the option for the 2013 first round draft picks.

Fisher's option being picked up means he will be in Kansas City for two more seasons. He will be making over $7 million for the 2016 season and $11.9 million during the 2017 season.

If the Chiefs didn't pick up his option, Fisher would only be under contract for the 2016 season.
