MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Central Michigan swept the Mid-American Conference West Division individual weekly baseball awards.
The Chippewas’ Daniel Jipping was named the Player of the Week, while Michael Brettell earned the Pitcher of the Week Award.
Jipping, a junior outfielder from Plymouth, hit .438 (7-for-16) last week with three home runs and nine RBI. He leads the Chippewas and is tied for the MAC lead with 10 home runs and is second in the league with 47 RBI. Jipping’s slugging percentage for the week was a whopping 1.
