Great Expectations: CMU women ready for 2016-17 campaign

Outside of Kelly/Shorts Stadium Saturday morning there was a rhythm generating.

Workers were getting tents set up for the homecoming pre-game festivities just north of the stadium.

Catering trucks were also bringing in food while motor homes started to fill up the parking lots in preparation for Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. kick off against Ball State.

Inside the comfortable confines of McGuirk Arena there was a different kind of rhythm being generated, one that pointed towards the future rather than the present.

As it was Sue Guevara and her Central Michigan University women’s basketball team were hosting their fifth preseason practice Saturday morning prior to their annual ‘Maroon & Gold’ scrimmage and alumni game.
