Freshman golfer Danielle Sawyer.
Growing up as a three-sport athlete, Grafton freshman Danielle Sawyer believes growing up in Canada helped her strive in the four season environment of Michigan.
Sawyer led the nation in fewest putts per round in the 2016 fall season for the Central Michigan golf team, averaging 28.89 a round in 18 holes. She broke the program record at the Rocket Classic last fall as well.
Sawyer shot a school record even par 72 during the second day, set the school record for a two-day score with a 150 and finished tied for 11 — the highest finish for any golfer last fall.
