Former University of Michigan quarterback Shane Morris announced Saturday afternoon his intentions to transfer to Central Michigan University.
Morris, a left-hander, will be a graduate student and eligible to play for the Chippewas in the 2017 season.
Shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday, Morris made the official announcement on Twitter: “Proud to say that I will finish my collegiate football career playing at Central Michigan University. #FireUp”
It had been rumored since early December that Morris was going to transfer from U-M and on Jan. 2 he tweeted his intentions. Central Michigan had been rumored as a frontrunner since the news of his potential transfer.
