MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – In the wake of Central Michigan’s 49-10 loss to Western Michigan on Saturday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium, second-year CMU coach John Bonamego stood up in front of the media, answered all the questions, shouldered the blame.
He also did what any coach would do after his team lost in such a fashion to its archrival: He sent a message to his players.
“I told them that we didn’t play well enough and that we have to take a long hard look at it and come in (Sunday) with our big boy pants on,” he said.
